I still pull out my earring collection on quiet evenings. Been at it since university days. Lost a favorite pair a while back, and it lingers. They mostly stay in their boxes now, safe from the world. I hold one up sometimes, let the light play off it. Turns a simple moment deep. Thinking about letting them go comes up, but they're too much mine to part with. It's those peaceful pauses I hold onto.
